The Good Energy Run Club reached its biggest group last week, with 50 women running five kilometres with the united goal of creating a positive female community. Regular gym addicts will soon have the opportunity to train like elite athletes at altitudes up to 3,500 metres thanks to the opening of the new Airlocker Gym in Wollongong. The City2Surf returned to Sydney on Sunday, with more than 70,000 people participating in the world’s largest fun run. The 14km race, held to spread awareness and raise money for brain cancer, was made possible by the 2,500 volunteers working behind the scenes to ensure the event ran successfully. A train has stopped at Cowra’s Railway Station for the first time in 14 years, making for a promising step forward in commuting for regional residents. Cowra’s railway tracks have undergone an $5 million upgrade in the hope to make transportation for residents more accessible, particularly to Bathurst which is one of the key stations in the Central West.
