Rough storms and heavy rain have wreaked havoc throughout the Illawarra, with 184mm of rain falling on Mount Kembla alone on Monday night. The Illawarra Mercury reported a number of Wollongong suburbs experienced localised flooding, and raw sewage flooded backyards of homes on Kembla Street in the CBD.
