After a very wet couple of weeks and long delays, UOW sports team managers have started the selection process for the 2017 Eastern Uni Games, to be held in Newcastle in July. The first touch football trials were held today on a temporary field and under the threat of rain. The trials are two weeks behind schedule due to the rain, and many university ovals remain closed. Harmony Day celebrations in Australia came to a standstill yesterday as Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull addressed parliament with an orange ribbon pinned to his chest. Mr. Turnbull announced his plans to make changes to the Racial Discrimination Act, despite saying he had no intentions to do so prior to his election last year.
