After a very wet couple of weeks and long delays, UOW sports team managers have started the selection process for the 2017 Eastern Uni Games, to be held in Newcastle in July.
The first touch football trials were held today on a temporary field and under the threat of rain.
The trials are two weeks behind schedule due to the rain, and many university ovals remain closed.
Trials will be held for AFL 9s, badminton, basketball, football, futsal, golf, hockey, indoor cricket, lawn bowls, netball, Oztag, squash, tennis, tenpin bowling, touch football, ultimate frisbee and volleyball,
