The Wollongong Camera Club is celebrating its 75th anniversary with the ‘Through the Lens’ exhibition at Wollongong City Art Gallery. The exhibition showcases the work of members, past and present, in photographic and audio visual formats, and highlights the advances in technology in the field.

Since its inception in April 1944, the Wollongong Camera Club has seen the development of the digital age of photography, including the transition from darkroom printing, to printing from computers and smartphones. Wollongong Camera Club president Bruce Shaw said the club’s success could be attributed to its ability to adapt, change and grow over time.

The ‘Through the Lens’ exhibition runs until late May.
