A photograph of AFLW player Tayla Harris is back in the spotlight after being named a finalist in the inaugural Women in Sport Photo Action Awards (WISPAA). The photo, taken in March by Michael Wilson, is among 15 chosen to represent the height of photography in female sport. The Wollongong Camera Club is celebrating its 75th anniversary with the ‘Through the Lens’ exhibition at Wollongong City Art Gallery. The exhibition showcases the work of members, past and present, in photographic and audio visual formats, and highlights the advances in technology in the field. Since its inception in April 1944, the Wollongong Camera Club has seen the development of the digital age of photography, including the transition from darkroom printing, to printing from computers and smartphones. Adam Larkham is using his love of performing to shake things up and change perspectives in Wollongong as drag queen, Miss Roxee Horror. After being thrust into the spotlight following a controversial storytime at Wollongong City Library, Larkham has been left with further resolve to challenge societal expectations through his performances.
