    What it takes to compete in CrossFit Games

    Shelby Fenech knows what it’s like to compete in CrossFit

    The fittest athletes that Asia and Australia have to offer will descend on Wollongong this weekend for the 2015 Regional CrossFit Qualifiers. Competitors will vie for a spot in the World CrossFit Games in July.

    The athletes will flex their muscle at the WIN Entertainment Centre tomorrow.

    CrossFit is a workout that builds strength and conditioning through varied and challenging exercises.

    Competitors must show a proficiency in each of the 10 general physical skills: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination and accuracy.

    UOWTV Multimedia reporter Peter Prandalos spoke to local athlete and former CrossFit competitor, Shelby Fenech, who about what it takes to compete against some of the world’s fittest people.
