UOW Chip Roll Fest 2020 cancelled

    Grace CrivellaroBy Grace CrivellaroMarch 18, 2020Updated:April 13, 2020No Comments1 Min Read

Chip Roll Fest 2020, the University of Wollongong UniBar’s first celebration of the chip roll, has been cancelled.

The cancellation followed the federal government’s ban on gatherings of over 100 people to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

The event was to be held on 25 March, with over 1,300 expected to attend. A chip roll-eating competition was on the event’s menu.

More than 12,500 chip rolls were consumed at the UOW Unibar last year.

UniBar staff were not available for comment.
