For years, Dapto High has been in possession of an Olympic trophy from the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne. Current principal Andrew FitzSimons is on the hunt for any information that may lead to a better understanding of how the school came to be the current owner. Many of the staff are also mystified and no-one on the current board of staff are able to piece together how it ended up at Dapto High.

Although the trophy is mostly under lock and key in a display cabinet in the library, it’s often used for ceremonies in the school and remains a constant symbol to students.
