Thomas Keneally, who is considered a National Living Treasure, has been honoured for 50 years of work as a writer. A conference was held at UOW to celebrate his career and contributions. Keneally also sat down with UOWTV Multimedia reporter Trent Thomas for an extended interview, which spanned Australian literature, asylum seekers, ISIS (ISIL), the Scottish independence vote, and the importance of using history to tell stories.
