The NSW Academy of Gymnastics has won the first State Club Championships for women’s gymnastics in NSW. The competition covered all disciplines (vault, bars, beam and floor) and had athletes compete across levels five to 10.

Head coach and Academy director Bill Parsons spent three years developing a program for his athletes in preparation for the competition.

Fourteen-year-old gymnast Jaymi Aronowitz competed in Level 8 and placed second overall. Having started gymnastics when she was four years old, she now trains five days a week with hopes to become a national champion.
