The Global Corporate Challenge began today with the goal to walk 10,000 steps a day over the next 100 days. UOW celebrated the launch with their own Amazing Race, a miniature version of the reality TV show.

Chelsea Anstee asked participants why they are excited to be a part of the GCC.

“It’s a great excuse to get out of the office!”
“It’s fun and designed as a team effort.”
“My eyes get blurry sitting in front of a screen all day!”
“The GCC has given me motivation to make lifestyle changes in other areas of my life.”
“I never realised how many steps I do (or should be doing) each day. It’s fascinating!”
    “Why the hell not?”
“It’s great to spend casual time out of the office with my co-workers.”
“I rarely take a lunch break, so having some incentive is great!”
“I feel like we don’t appreciate our beautiful campus enough, so this is a perfect opportunity”
