Fans and clubs have started reviewing past games and seasons to satisfy their football hunger under COVID-19 restrictions.
Social isolation measures imposed to slow the spread of the coronavirus have seen sport cancelled and postponed across the country. The Football South Coast community has started to fill the footy void by examining past competitions thanks to two new podcasts. Journalist and ‘Away From the Pitch‘ host Dylan Arvela said his podcast had been well received.
“This time that we have has given people somewhat of an opportunity to dig into the annals of the past and highlight them in the present,” Arvela said.
Many football clubs are taking to the podcast pitch. The Socceroos have started livestreaming classic matches on social media, while others have shared highlights from previous seasons for their fans to enjoy.
A reminder that England v Australia from 2003 will be shown in its entirety tonight via the @Socceroos Facebook page.
