Australian Financial Review readers in Western Australia were greeted to an error-laden front page over the weekend after someone “pressed a wrong button”.
An early draft was published instead of the final layout, leaving some awkward fill-in text.
The most memorable line from the disaster was, without doubt, this story summary: “Buys planes, world is fukt”
We’re feeling a bit sorry for the poor people at the Financial Review. The embarrassment was made worse by the fact it was an ANZAC weekend edition, meaning copies remained on the shelf for three days.
So are there any other newspapers that could’ve benefitted from tighter sub-editing?
