    3D printing helping us hear the sounds ‘in-between’

    Dr Terumi Narushima is not your average musician. The acclaimed composer and researcher works with microtonal sounds. Microtones are sounds between the normal notes played on instruments. With help from 3D printers, engineers and fellow researchers, Dr Narushima is wants to make sounds not usually heard.

    The project is part of the University of Wollongong’s Global Challenges program that brings together researchers from different fields.
