We walk past these buildings everyday, yet when was the last time you actually took notice of the many historical buildings that are scattered throughout the Wollongong CBD.

Wollongong Council is conducting guided tours of these historical buildings as part of  the Wollongong Heritage Festival.

The heritage tours are being run today and tomorrow and depart from the Market Street Park. Guide Joel Thompson studies Wollongong history, and welcomes the opportunity to get out and share his enthusiasm and knowledge. He takes the groups to all the significant historical sites in the CBD including St Mary’s College, Wollongong Courthouse, and even the last small section of sandstone street guttering in the area.
