Why sweat alone when you can sweat together?

Jacob FosterBy Jacob FosterAugust 25, 2015No Comments1 Min Read

The dynamics of group exercise continue to fascinate me. I didn’t understand the allure after ever only exercising on my own with a floor mat and kettlebell for company, so I decided to investigate why so many people were participating in these group sessions.

The owner of the Berry Gym, Mark, allowed me access to the gym. I interviewed one of his staff, Catherine Warden, and a regular gym, Daniel Black, about the attraction of group exercise and why they love it. I joined a 9:30 RPM class, and recorded the session in all its disco-reminiscent glory.
