    Where did our locals go?

Rad Bar, formerly known as Yours & Owls, prides itself on being Wollongong’s premier music label destination for aspiring local artists.

Since its opening just over four years ago, the small café, bar and live music venue has become a prime place to perform for an artist living in Wollongong.

After transforming from Yours & Owls to its new identity, Rad Bar, it has started booking bands from across Australia, as well as consulting with international booking agents to introduce global artists to the Wollongong.

According to research conducted by UOWTV Multimedia, when the local music scene was described to be thriving in 2014, 73 per cent of the artists on show at the bar were born and bred in Wollongong. Latest figures reveal that figure has dropped to just 22 per cent scheduled to perform in 2015.
