What comes to mind when you think about Wollongong? That’s the question at the heart of one of the city’s latest art exhibitions.

Nicci Bedson’s ’30 x 30’ is the latest solo exhibition at the Moving Mountains Gallery. The exhibition boasts 30 pieces created over 30 days. Each piece is inspired by an idea from a local person, and Bedson says the collection reflects the diversity and disparity of the Wollongong community. Bedson received suggestions from sportsmen, politicians, refugees and many more.

Bedson’s primary technique is painting. However, 30 x 30 incorporates a mixed-media approach of teaming sketches, collage and painting together. The exhibition runs until 28 August.
