Sustainable living and building research at the University of Wollongong has caught the eye of the man in charge of the state’s purse strings.

NSW Treasurer Daniel Mookhey and Member for Illawarra Paul Scully toured the UOW Innovation Campus this morning, looking to understand the universities commitment to sustainable development.

“Where goes the Illawarra so goes New South Walse and if you want to see the future of New South Walse you have got to come to places like the University of Wollongong Innovation Campus,” Treasurer Mookhey said.

“The technologies that will support jobs in the future are being invented here today,” Treasurer Mookhey said.
