Twelve University of Wollongong students are set to defend the university’s Alliance Shield title this year.
From tomorrow, teams from the University of Wollongong, Western Sydney University and the University of New South Wales will compete for the title at UNSW in four sports.
UOW coach Rae-Leigh Lyons and captain Megan Griffin started training their teams since classes returned in February this year. Both are confident UOW is well-placed to defend its Alliance title.
This morning, the University of Newcastle withdrew from the 2024 competition, leaving only three universities in the competition.
