    Unanderra resident charged after massive cannabis seizure

    More than $710,000 dollars worth of cannabis was seized at a Unanderra home at around 2pm yesterday. After a search of the premises 136 cannabis plants and 3.5 kilograms of cannabis leaf were seized by police.

    A 26-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is in custody under charges of cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis plants, supplying a prohibited drug and using electricity without authority.

    The alleged reportedly almost escaped the police by car but was cornered after reversing into a police vehicle.The accused has been refused bail to appear in court today.
