Twitter has marked its 10th birthday this week, with the social forum now firmly cemented in popular culture. Twitter has more than 320 million active users, and the word “hashtag” has been added to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary in 2014.

Twitter has played a key part in breaking news, from the Arab Spring uprising, to the Boston bombings and the accompanying #BostonStrong hashtag.
