University of Wollongong (UOW) clubs are taking part in the Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea campaign tomorrow.
Student societies are encouraging students and staff to get involved in activities to fundraise for the cause.
UOW Law Students’ Society member Maddison Goatcher said the law club will be among those hosting fundraising activities on Thursday.
Ms Goatcher said the cause is also personal, with cancer affecting her family.
“My pop passed away of throat cancer so this comes a little bit closer to home,” Ms Goatcher said.
Organisers hope the event will bring the campus community together and show how a small donation, a cup of tea and a sweet treat can help make a difference.
