“…the pursuit of happiness is a fundamental human goal.”

With International Happiness day just one sleep away, the University of Wollongong’s own Wellbeing Centre is taking over the McKinnon Lawn tomorrow from 11.30am. We talked to Cameron Faricy from the UOW Wellbeing Centre about what we can expect to see.

We also talked to nursing students Angela Nenadic and Joy Thompson about their own pursuit of happiness,  and Creative Arts Honours student Teagan Russell about her ideas on mindfulness and the importance of attitude.

Join the UOW Wellbeing Centre Thursday 20th  March at 11:30AM on the McKinnon Lawn for a day of fun and smiles.

What do you think of when someone asks what makes you happy? Chocolate, the beach, a new haircut maybe? There’s got to be a more than a few people out there who don’t have exercise on their list.

With International Happy Day celebrations taking place around UOW tomorrow, Social and Health Science Professor Noel Castree is out to promote the crucial role that exercise and team sport plays in a person’s happiness and wellbeing.
