The Enchanted Forest is set to return to Blackbutt Forest Reserve in Shellharbour.

Organised by Shellharbour City Council, Luna Light Journeys and Laser Vision, the popular attraction is considered a cheaper alternative to Vivid Sydney.

The exhibition will feature an all new journey, a ‘Lost Astronaut’ who embarks on rebuilding their ship to escape an enchanted and otherworldly forest. Through the journey, patrons will immerse themselves in interactive projections, celestial holograms and laser effects.

Laser Vision marketing manager Steve Karlagurgevic said there is a difference between Vivid and The Enchanted Forest.

“The difference between Vivid and The Enchanted Forest is that we create an overarching narrative for attendees to follow the journey through the forest,” Mr Karlagurgevic.

With the cost of living, the organisers have priced tickets to cost less than a movie ticket.

“We price less than a movie ticket but it is a completely different experience. It’s interactive, immersive and the local community has really embraced it,” he said.

Sydney university student from Stephanie Angelopoulos said she preferred The Enchanted Forest to Vivid Sydney.

“It was cheaper to go there than to go to Vivid. I would definitely go to The Enchanted Forest over Vivid any day,” she said.

The Enchanted Forest will run from Friday, 24 May, until Sunday, 16 June.
