The Nowra Players Theatre’s latest production brings together a dark side of our society and presents it through a child’s eye. Director Lynn Harnwell is delighted with the enthusiasm the entire cast is putting into the play.

The final performance is this Saturday and a special guest will be attending.

Everyone is excited and also nervous at the same time. One cast member describing the experience as terrifying. The special guest is Australian playwright Richard Tulloch, who has written for Bananas in Pyjamas and Year 9 Are Animals.

Ms Harnwell saw the play many years ago at Belvoir St Theatre and enjoyed the storyline so much she tracked down the script. She wanted to bring it to the Shoalhaven, but she was slightly apprehensive about the audience reaction.

“It talks about domestic violence but in a very different way – from a child’s point of view,” she said.

The Book of Everything runs until Saturday night and tickets can be purchased through the Shoalhaven Visitors Information Centre or at the door on the night.
