There are 284 hours (or about 12 days) until the first episode Game of Thrones Season 4 premieres on. Can’t handle the wait? Here’s a tip for each day between now and the first episode. Warning: spoilers ahead!

DAY 1:
There is only 1 iron throne… But if you want to sit around all day yelling orders like Joffrey, you can get your own life-size replica for just US$30000 (plus only US$2500 for shipping and handling!)

Is Bran going to stand on his own two feet in Season 4?

Is Bran going to stand on his own two feet in Season 4? (Probably not.)

DAY 2:
Get someone to carry you around all day, inspired by Bran and his 2 broken legs. You might even find the time to pick up some magical Warg abilities!

DAY 3:
Binge watch the past 3 seasons. It’ll only take you around 28 hours!

DAY 4:
Lament the fact that it’s still over a week until Game of Thrones season 4 premieres.

DAY 5:
Get the 5 nails on your right hand done in memoriam of Jaime Lannister.

DAY 6:
6 direwolves were adopted by the Stark children… and also Jon Snow. Luckily, you don’t  have to stumble upon an orphaned deadly wolf to have a fiercely adorable companion.

DAY 7:
The creators of the TV series have said that the show will end after 7 (or possibly 8) seasons. George RR Martin has also suggested a feature film may be used to wrap everything up.

DAY 8:
You only need to know 8 chords to play the Lannister’s song of choice, The Rains of Castamere.

DAY 9:
The 9th episode of the season is always a big one. A beheading in season 1, a battle in season 2, and a bloody wedding in season 3. What will the penultimate episode of Season 4 bring?

DAY 10:
Kit Harrington (aka Jon ‘you-know-nothing’ Snow) was recently in Australia, and during an appearance on the Fitzy & Wippa show, Wippa tried to explain the plot of the show to Fitzy in just 10 seconds.

DAY 11:
Sadly, you won’t be able to download the show on iTunes this season, but there is another way to watch! If you’re not already a Foxtel subscriber, you can get Foxtel Play with a pack of your choice plus premium movies and drama for about $11.50 a week.

DAY 12:
It’s finally here! Be careful though, because every episode of Game of Thrones  in Season 4 finishes in the United States at 12pm Monday AEST. You’ll have to resist the urge to check social media and pretty much any website based in America until you get the chance to watch the show. Episodes are set to air at 3:30pm Mondays on Foxtel.
