Team UOW prepares for deadline on solar powered house

Team UOW is in the final stages of preparing for the 2013 Solar Decathlon China in August.

The Solar Decathlon China “challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive. The winner of the competition is the team that best blends affordability, consumer appeal, and design excellence with optimal energy production and maximum efficiency.”

It took the team a year to design the house. A team of 30 have been constructing the house, which has taken nearly three months.
