Swapping life skills for tech skills to celebrate Seniors Week

    Roseanne ScottBy Roseanne ScottMarch 19, 2014Updated:March 19, 2014No Comments1 Min Read

Local Seniors today teamed up with Cringila Public School to swap life skills for tech skills in celebration of Seniors Week.

In partnership with the Cringila Co-op, social media, arts and craft, music and home cooking activities were organised to give senior residents and local students a chance to share knowledge across the generations.

Beatrice Ogunbona from Cringila Co-op talks about the activities for the day.

Some learnt how to use Google Maps to look up places of their past. In return they helped students how to cook.

The day was a huge success with many local seniors looking forward to next year’s event. Here’s what one senior had to say about the day.

Seniors Week runs across the state until Sunday, with hundreds of free and discounted events held across NSW. For more information visit the NSW Seniors Week website.
