In the wake of the State Government decision to ban greyhound racing in NSW from 1 July next year following an enquiry into the industry, the greyhound racing community and its supporters staged a protest in Hyde Park to voice their concerns and frustrations to Premier Mike Baird. The greyhound racing industry says the ban, now passed into legislation, will affect owners, breeders and trainers – many who love and treat the animals as family.
