Mt Keira lookout got a cleanup over the weekend, after nearly 200 people converged on the site for a four hour working bee.
The working bee was organised by the local action group, who have their hearts set on restoring the tourist attraction.
With the site’s iconic restaurant shutdown, the access road closed for repairs and the view obscured by trees, locals have complained the council neglected the area.
Though much work was accomplished over the weekend, including the removal of many dead trees and branches to open up the view, there is still more to be done.
