The power of music to bring people together and prompt positive change has proved strong at the Kooloobong Village Relay for Life concert with residents raising $400 for the Cancer Council.

Comedians, musicians and singers dedicated their performances to those who have lost their lives to cancer, but also created a message of hope for a cure to the disease that affects one in two Australians by the age of 85.

Kooloobong Village was one of the 108 teams participating in the Wollongong Relay for Life,  the event raising $161,000 for the Cancer Council.
