The generosity and kindness of the Nepalese people will soon be returned thanks to a fundraiser dinner aimed at assisting the nation after being shocked by two earthquakes over the past three weeks.

Coniston Public School Principal, David Lamb, is a part of a group of travellers who hiked through the Himalayas last year with the assistance of generous Nepalese locals and sherpas. The group is now organising a fundraising dinner at the Fraternity Club to raise money for the Nepalese families that were so willing to help them.

The dinner will be held on Thursday May 28th kicking off at 7pm and will include a three course meal at $49 per person.

All proceeds will go directly to the Himalayan Education Charity Fund whom the group of travellers hiked with whilst in Nepal.

“What the money will do is go directly to hospitals and schools in the Himalayan mountain area”, said Mr Lamb.

Anyone is welcome to attend and tickets are available directly at the Fraternity Club or by emailing briananthonyking@gmail.com
