Lime Cordiale stunned Sydney fans with their biggest hometown show yet, held in the ICC Sydney Theatre alongside Ball Park Music as a part of their Enough Of The Sweet Talk Tour.

The indie pop duo’s Sydney show on Friday was the fourth performance of their 2024 Australia and New Zealand tour which is held in their biggest venues to date.

For long-time Lime Cordiale fan, Eliza Hockey, this was her fourth time seeing the duo perform live and she said it was their best show yet.

“I’m heaps happy, they played all my favourite songs and I loved their little halftime performance too, it was so funny,” Miss Hockey said.

“This is also the biggest venue I’ve ever been to a concert at, it was so cool seeing how many people were there.”

Ball Park Music and Lime Cordiale shared on the night that this joint tour has been in the works for years, with the two bands being loyal fans and friends of each other.

Lime Cordiale’s setlist featured 22 songs, including many of the songs in their Enough Of The Sweet Talk album, as well as their hits ‘Robbery’, ‘Inappropriate Behaviour’, ‘Money’ and their popular cover of Divinyls’ ‘I Touch Myself’.

‘Cold Treatment’ was one of the songs played, and it also featured on their new album. Lead singer Oli Leimback explained on stage that it was written after an argument with his now-fiancée Daphne Berry.

“I got my lyric book out [and] at the end of the day I feel like I won because I wrote a song while she was sleeping next to me,” Mr Leimbach said.

Up-and-coming singer-songwriter from Adelaide Aleksiah opened for Lime Cordiale on the night and will begin her headline tour, You’re Never Getting Rid Of Me, in November.

The self-proclaimed biggest fan of Aleksiah, Jenna Hughes was excited to find out that Aleksiah would be the supporting act for Lime Cordiale, another of her favourite artists.

“I couldn’t believe it, her being the opener really sealed the deal for me getting tickets to the show, even though I’m also going to see her in Wollongong in November,” Miss Hughes said.

Lime Cordiale and Ball Park Music are now off to Dunedin to kick-start the New Zealand leg of their Enough Of The Sweet Talk Tour.
