    Ryan SpeedBy Ryan SpeedMarch 23, 2016Updated:March 24, 2016No Comments1 Min Read

University of Wollongong Engineering studies have been ranked 163 in the world for 2015/16, an increase compared to the 2014/15 rank of 208.

The data was released yesterday as part of the QS World Rankings by subject. The areas of study that ranked the highest in the world included:

    • Mineral and mining
    • Civil and structural
    • Mechanical, aeronautical and manufacturing
    • Electrical and electronic

According to the man at the helm, much of the success has been built on innovative collaboration.

Executive Dean of the Engineering and Information Sciences Faculty Professor Chris Cook said the UOW Engineering has built a world-class infrastructure where collaboration is key, with strong connections to overseas industries, especially in Asian regions.

Prof. Cook said the UOW Engineering prided itself on specialisation, and a commitment to being a world leader.
