Wollongong metal heads Gosika has begun its tour around Sydney and Canberra, exciting heavy metal fans.

The Gosika tour  started at Canberra’s  Pot Belly Bar on August 15, to promote their new EP  “Ancient Magicks”, which was released earlier this month.

Vocalist Mr Hedges was thrilled to see many newcomers to metal rock music attend their concerts.

“Even if it’s the start to your metal journey, it’s still a lot of excitement and energy that gets put into that environment,” Mr Hedges said.

“These are the first shows after the release, so hopefully, people can get behind it.”

Gosika formed four years ago and also include band members Connor Kingdom and Matt Tyrrell.

Guitarist Mr Tyrell was stoked to see the rate of ticket sales for their shows at Pot Belly Bar, and at Simo’s in Sydney the following day.

“It was great to play two unreleased tracks which are a bit more brutal,” Mr Tyrrell said.

“It was a pleasure to premiere those songs finally.”

Gosika joined the hit grind band from Japan “Viscera Infest” at their shows in both Canberra and Sydney.

The band hopes their new sound and recent release will shift their sound and prompt unseen growth for their music and profile.

“[We are] hoping to go overseas at some point in the next few years, and expand outside the Sydney, New South Wales area soon,” Mr Kingdom said
