Illawarra bands, acoustic musicians, and DJs are set to battle it out for a coveted spot in next year’s Yours and Owls Festival.

‘The Jam’ competition returns to Unibar on Friday night after a 12-month hiatus due to COVID-19.

“It’s good to be back, and it’s so much fun seeing students showcase their musical talent,” UOW Pulse entertainment coordinator Harrison Carter.

Contestants have the chance to win a set time at the 2022 Yours and Owls festival, along with photography packages and recording times at local studios. Each artist will have 20 minutes to impress judges, sponsors, and audiences and will be judged on performance, musicality, song composition, and energy and commitment.
