Every Thursday night, Wollongong’s Crown Street Mall transforms into a bustling food marketplace for four hours. The Eat Street Markets is a place where community and food come together, as many people from across the Illawarra travel to enjoy what the markets have to offer. The markets, launched in December last year, have become a popular within addition to the Illawarra food and market scene.
There are plenty of stalls to choose from, offering a huge range of different international foods, with affordable prices, as well as live music entertainment.
We spoke with some of the hungry market-goers to get their thoughts on the Eat Street Markets, as well as Sarah, the owner of the dessert stall Brownie Bliss. Sarah is a seasoned market vendor and loves the uniqueness of the Eat Street Night Markets.
