Bottle shops have recorded an increase in business, and health professions have warned people already on the edge of heavy drinking will struggle to cope.
Alcohol Anonymous meetings have moved online to provide the care and support people need. These online meetings were rolled out over the Easter weekend.
Retail Drinks Australia has introduced a number of restrictions to help reduce the amount of alcohol consumers can purchase.
