The Gault&Millau Australia Restaurant Guide is an internationally-acclaimed magazine detailing Australia’s prestigious culinary achievements.

Katey Shaw, 24, could appear in the next edition.

Shaw – nominated twice for “Potentialist of the Year” and “Pastry Chef of the Year” – will compete against Australia’s best chefs – including pastry legend Anna Polyviou from the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney.

“To be up against someone like her. I’m already a winner,” the Kyūbi chef said.

The first prize recipient will receive a six-week scholarship in France and guided tours of local restaurants and vineyards.

The winners will be announced in Melbourne on November 7.
