The artistic talent of western Sydney has again been put on show. The Casula Powerhouse Museum held Art Meets West last month, and featured panels, workshops and an arts and crafts market that allowed participants to display and sell their creations.

It was Camden resident and creative arts student Keziah Duguid’s first art event.

“There’s such a diverse range of people doing all different types of artwork,” she said.

Keziah’s mother, Kelcie Bryant-Duguid said her daughter’s love for art has come from family tradition and passion.

“[Art] is a part of me I suppose,” she said. “It’s an important mode of self-expression.”
