Shire Shred Surf Competition has been a fitting end to a week full of activities for Sutherland Shire youth. It’s the first time a surf competition has been included in the annual Youth Week activities, now in its fourth year in the region. Sutherland Shire Council community development advisor Holly McCreery believes the event brings the young community together in harmony. “By hosting these activities young people are encouraged to create and enjoy a variety of events and activities, which therefore unites the community’s youth,” she said.
