Campbelltown City Council and Headspace Campbelltown have moved their Youth Week events online to adhere to COVID-19 restrictions. To celebrate Campbelltown’s young people during isolation, entrants aged 12-24 are invited to take part in an at-home competition to create tips and tricks to help people keep busy while physical distancing. Entries close on Thursday, 9 April and can be submitted on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok with #CampbelltownYouthWeek2020. Another major NSW sporting event has been been cancelled in the wake of government response to the COVID-19 virus. The federal and state governments’ have banned events with more than 500 people and the annual Academy Games, due to be held in at the Hunter Academy of Sport from 3 April, will not run in 2020.
