The average concert ticket price in Australia has increased from $83.72 in 2016 to $111.48 in 2023, according to the latest ticket report from Live Performance Australia. Instagram feeds have been flooded with #AFW, as the general public is locked out of the popular event for the first time. The Australian Fashion Council is now running the event, and one of the major changes is that it is by invite-only. Prior to this year, the general public could purchase tickets to various fashion shows throughout the week. A recent Royal Life Saving Australia report has revealed that 104 lives were lost by drowning over the past summer. The number of Australians who have died by drowning is up five per cent, compared to the previous summer, and up 14 per cent over a five-year average. New South Wales has recorded the highest number of drownings by state (33), followed by Victoria (22), Queensland (22) and Western Australia (15).
