Artist Kaylee Prokop is gaining popularity with her unique take on pets through the colourful world of pop art.

Ms Prokop has been flooded with requests on her  Facebook site, as pet owners seek to capture the images of their fur-babies on canvas.

Ms Prokop said Facebook and social media plays an important role in being an artist.

Muir House Art Gallery reached out to Ms Prokop after viewing her online profile and invited the artist to feature her work in the local art gallery.
