Netflix passwords sold on blackmarket: Report

    Emily FarrellyBy Emily FarrellyApril 15, 2016Updated:April 18, 2016No Comments1 Min Read

Netflix login and account details are being sold on the blackmarket, according to a new report.

The Symantec report said users were being hacked by a phishing and malware campaign that posed as Netflix files on hacked desktops.

“The files are downloaders that, once executed, open the Netflix home page as a decoy and secretly download Infostealer.Banload. Banload steals banking information from the affected computer. The Trojan has primarily been used in Brazil,” Symantec reported.

Experts have urged account-holders to take steps to protect their passwords, and their personal information.
