‘KFC Complaints NSW’ Facebook group sets sights on Goulburn’s KFC

The Goulburn community is rubbishing their local KFC in a new Facebook page, with it being described as the worst KFC in New South Wales.

Goulburn’s KFC has been notorious over the last few months with claims that the store has inconsistent food quality and slow service.

Goulburn local Zachary Coggan says that it has been a consistent issue having personally had numerous bad experiences.

“I feel like its a handful of factors causing the issue,” Mr. Coggan said.

“Maybe a lack of staff, maybe there is a lack of food production coming our way because of where we are located, I’m not really sure why there are so many problems,”

“Either way a change needs to be made because the Goulburn community can only complain for so long before they just stop going to KFC altogether, and, well, it’s easy when there’s a Maccas just next door.”

Customers often bring up issues like cold or undercooked chicken, incorrect orders, and long wait times in the Facebook group which has amassed over 1900 members.

In a Google review, disgruntled customer Hannah Thompson wrote a detailed account on some of the issues with the store.

“We waited half an hour for food, leaving the in store orders to wait forever, my order was incomplete, with drinks and sauces missing,” Ms. Thompson wrote.

“I saw staff members sitting down with cleaning products near food, the cleanliness of the tables was absolutely appalling, the bathrooms were in an equally poor state, reflecting a lack of proper sanitation and upkeep.”

The store has responded to Ms Thompson’s review, making it clear that it is in their best interests to fix these problems.

“We’re sorry to hear about your experience at KFC Goulburn. We’re all about serving up finger-lickin’ good food and top-notch service, so it’s a real letdown to hear you had a disappointing experience,” the response reads.

The group was created in December 2023 and features complaints of KFC branches across rural and regional New South Wales, implying a wider issue with the chain.
