Illawarra urged to embrace sustainable living

    Ryan SpeedBy Ryan SpeedSeptember 27, 2015Updated:September 27, 2015No Comments1 Min Read

Our natural environment is being destroyed every day through excessive consumption, burning fossil fuels and food wastage, according to those leading a sustainability push in the Illawarra. They claim a society needs to make a shift to preserve our environment.

Permaculture teacher Aaron Sorensen said individuals can make a difference, and need to take the first step toward sustainability.

“It’s about taking responsibility for what we do, and I think that’s a really great thing,” he said.

Wollongong City Council has complied a list of ‘Sustainable Living’ activities Illawarra residents can take part in.
