    Charlie’s way: life member marks 50 years at Cronulla Caringbah

    Charlie Bate joined the Cronulla Caringbah Sharks in 1968 and is the longest active member in the club’s 86-year history. He has held every role in the club, including president and coach. Bate is now club caretaker, and he dedicates six days a week to managing the clubhouse and fields. This year also marks the 45th anniversary of Charlie’s membership with the District Junior League.
